I don't feel like html right now, and I don't feel like photoshop either. So you're gonna have to deal with crappy, blurry images and a boring webpage. Take it like a man. My desktop - I'm moving in one week, can't you tell? 120mm Blowhole, Panaflo HS fan. It takes brass ones to make the first cut into your beautiful $200 case. Once I get my WC installed, the radiator will be mounted below this fan (I will add a second 120 blowhole to completely cover the long radiator). I took the puny 80mm Adda fan out, Dremeled a big hole, and stuck another 120mm Panaflo on the back. Some further modifications were necessary, but the mobo tray and side panel still operate as if no fan was there at all! I've never seen a 120 on the back of a PCXX before, and now I can see why - it was a LOT of work! Here's the inside - you can see the big opening for the exhaust fan, along with the pretty (noisy) Dragon and Blue Orbs. I have a crappy TennMax cooler on my crappy TNT2, but that will be replaced with a slim Al waterblock on a Geforce 2 or 3 :) No mod is complete without some custom LEDs up front! This I'm proud of! I got all the materials from AllElectronics and set myself up a custom CCF lighting rig! In each housing (above and below the window) is a Blue (more like Bluish White) and a Black tube, a total of 4 lights! The only problem is the Blacklights are kinda dim - Eventually I'll re-wire it so the blacklights each have their own inverter (as it stands now there is one inverter per color - 2 are inside that black box). I has some extra RJ45 cable lying around, and I found it makes an excellent cable for multiple CCF tubes! Here is blue - not too bright, but I like it that way! Again, I can always re-wire it for more juice. Like I said, the blacklights are kinda dim. When the lights are out it has a sweet-looking glow, but I think it can do better! Here's the front - I made the FDD bezel myself, but a 'friend' of mine accidentally put it in a vice without a towel! You can see the scars - ouch! You can also see the PCMods Baybus, with an additional SPDT switch to control the lights. This idea I stole from my brother ~BoB~. Since my intake fans are on the Baybus, the built-in fan speed switch did nothing. So, I hooked the 7k Dragon Orb fan up to it! UNlike the Baybus, this has no 'off' position, so accidents won't happen. If I'm not torturing the CPU, I can run the case almost as quiet as an OEM PC, and it's still nice and cool! Here, you see the brothers 1337, ~BoB~ graciously opening his room to me until I'm off to school. Between those two rigs, it can get awfully loud and warm!
WOW! It takes patience to download all those nice pix over a 56k modem. Hope you enjoyed them - the next update should include more Blowholes and, more importantly, Water Cooling! That's it for now!
